How to study
13 modules. Prerequisites: basic browser, file and arithmetic skills. Suggested workload: 39 digital hours plus 52 lab/capstone hours, depending on repetitions and equipment. These are not automatically certified attendance hours.
Practice kit
Laptop with Ethernet, compatible IP camera/PoE, known cables, termination tools and tester. Add NVR/storage for recording and radios or fiber for links. Share equipment or rent a certifier. Without equipment you can complete digital exercises and design, but cannot validate physical installation.

Inventory, quote, acceptance tests, incident log, rubric and ES/EN practical worksheets. Editable files without client data.

Android / Chrome
Open the academy in Chrome. Use the Install button if it appears, or look for Install app or Add to home screen in the browser menu.
iPhone / iPad
Open the academy in Safari, tap Share and choose Add to Home Screen. Options depend on your iOS version.
Installation does not enable offline exams. This stage stores reading and results on the server; without internet it only shows a notice. Temporary preview authentication may limit installation in some browsers.

- Software for managing devices, video and events.
- PoE / Power over Ethernet
- Power and data over Ethernet with compatible devices.
- Bitrate / Tasa de bits
- Bits per second; Mbps means millions of bits per second.
- DHCP / Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
- A service providing network parameters such as an IP address.
- Gateway / Puerta de enlace
- A device used to reach other networks.
- Retention / Retención
- The time a recording is kept before deletion or overwriting under policy.
- UPS / Uninterruptible power supply
- Backup power system; runtime depends on the model and load.
